Man shot by deputies while trying to flee in Palmdale
Responding to a domestic violence call on Sunday, March 13, deputies encountered a male Hispanic sitting inside a vehicle. While attempting to flee the location, the man rammed two patrol vehicles several times. After ramming one of the patrol vehicles, a deputy involved shooting occurred. Despite immediate attempts by deputies and shortly after continued attempts by Los Angeles County Fire Department Paramedics to provide life saving assistance to the suspect he was pronounced dead at the scene. It was later determined he was not involved in the earlier domestic violence call. At this time it is unclear why the suspect attempted to flee or why he rammed patrol vehicles. The suspects name has not been made public pending next of kin notification.
