PROTECTED TO DEATH

Every day all around the world thousands of children are being abused and neglected. Often times the abuse and neglect results in reports made to law enforcement and child protective agencies who are then supposed to investigate these claims of abuse and neglect and when necessary intervene on the child's behalf. This could result in merely contacting the child's caregivers at which time allegations could prove unfounded or services offered and a period of supervision by the child protection agency.  It can also result in removal of the child from the home. 

.    But what happens when the very agencies charged with protecting these vulnerable children fail to do so? Sadly, the outcome are often tragic. And far too often it leads to the death of a child. This is in memory of some of those children.
