Child found in homeless encampment

On Thursday, April 28, 2022, a child possibly named Anthony was found in a homeless encampment near the 710 and 105 freeways. After a search the mother was finally located. The child remains in DCFS custody although a social worker will be meeting to either tribute mother and son or to arrange for placement of the child should that be the determination of the social worker as to the child's best interest.

.  Any time a child enters the child protective system is not only a concern as to the circumstances that let to the intervention by DCFS but also what may happen to a child while in the states custody and after and we hope for the best for this young man.
