In a statement to The Associated Press, on Saturday, April 30, 2022, daughters of Grammy Award Winning Country music legend, Naomi Judd announced the death of their Mother at age 76.
. Although they did not state an official cause of death, they did say , "they lost their beloved mother to the disease of mental illness."
. Naomi was the singer for hit country music duo, The Judds. She was also the beloved mother of daughters, Wynonna and Ashley Judd.
. The Judds had recently announced plans for an arena tour which was to begin this fall. It would have been the first time in over a decade for the duo.
