Snake Alert-Use Caution

A warning tonight for residents of the Antelope Valley High Desert Area. As spring brings warmer temperatures to the high desert, you may notice Flowers in bloom, increased bird sightings, bees buzzing grass and yes growing green, squirrels and chipmunks frolicking throughout the area. But be warned, the warmer weather has also brought out reptiles such as lizards... And snakes.
.    Sightings of snakes are already being reported here in the AV, so we here at Av Street Beats wishes to remind residents to use caution and be observant of your surroundings. While this is especially true in open desert fields and other rural areas, it is possible to find snakes in the more populated locals as well. Even inside your home or vehicles. Be sure to keep children under supervision at all times especially while hiking or camping and if you do encounter a snake be respectful and never under any circumstances attempt to pick them up or allow children to do so. This could result in injury or death. So enjoy the warmer weather but also use caution and a little common sense.
